Goodly Frame Theatre is a member of the Shakespeare Theatre Association, the North Carolina Theatre Conference, the Southeastern Theatre Conference, and the NC Triad Theatre League.
We have an open hiring policy for all of our productions. Goodly Frame Theatre is committed to accessible Shakespeare and to allyship. Diverse, inclusive casting is an essential part of both. This includes challenging stuffy mores surrounding Shakespeare in regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, national and/or ethnic origin, age, and disability.
Shakespeare should be an inclusive and diverse form of storytelling that holds a mirror up to our current world. We seek to include individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds in all aspects of our productions.
Goodly Frame Theatre does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, national and/or ethnic origin, age, disability, or military or veteran status in any of its educational programs, employment practices, and activities.

- Please audition for whatever character you are most interested in!
- Record a 90-second video of yourself reading a Shakespeare monologue that fits the characters you’d like to be considered for – you can do so on your phone.
- If possible, please film in landscape mode, framing yourself from the waist up if able, with a neutral background.
- Make sure you’re well lit so that we can see your lovely face!
- Please rename your video with your name, not the default title; ex. “Smith, John Video”
