ZoomFest, Series 1

​William Shakespeare didn't show up in London one day as a famous playwright. Before he became famous, Shakespeare was just an ordinary person, writing plays affected by his circumstances and inspired by the world around him. Fast forward about 400 years, and you'll find yourself in the middle of a world turned sideways during a pandemic. Like Shakespeare's theaters during times of plague, all our theaters are closed. And like William Shakespeare, all the playwrights are stuck at home feeling the need to write about life around them. What happens when ordinary people turn to Zoom as a new way to communicate? Why love, of course. And disappointment. And fear, curiosity, anticipation, confusion, and escape.
